U.S. Visitors to Canada

Effective June 1, 2009, the U.S. has expanded proof of citizenship requirements for entering the United States.  Travel by car, bus, rail or ship now requires either a passport, an enhanced driver's license (only available in a few states), or a Nexus card.  Travel by air requires a passport for entering both Canada and the U.S.

Flying?  Bellingham International Airport (BLI) is located only 20 miles from the Canadian border.  Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is 125 miles from the Canadian border.  Shuttle buses and Amtrak make regular connections to Vancouver from both cities.

For more border information from official government publications:  www.cbsa.gc.ca  or www.travel.state.gov

US Dollars go farther in Canada!  The current exchange rate is approximately $1 US = $1.05 Canadian.
